Shared-Contemplation: “Withnessing”

Faces Merging

ONEing is a practice that moves us towards shared-contemplation where we consistently access a way of being inside reality together. ONEing bonds us with the people we practice with. It creates community by connecting us inside a holding environment (a shared space) that is safe enough for us to open and share our energy with one another. This way of being allows our defenses and protective mechanisms to relax and more parts of us to be revealed. Together we become more conscious, and able to contain more complexity and diversity.

As we sit together in practice, we realize our oneness with others, not only with those with whom we practice, but with everyone -- past, present and to come. We learn to access what is deepest in the person we practice with, from the place that is deepest in us. We develop the capacity to be totally with ourselves and them simultaneously.  We’ve been calling this new-found capacity “withnessing.” When we connect from this depth we enter into shared-presence where we resonate with what is deepest in us. We are “withnessing.” From here, we are ONEing, and we know directly that our joys, trials, and, indeed, our lives are interconnected with all sentient beings, and all that is.
